Itatiaia, Jaguar Land Rover’s first wholly owned overseas facility, opened in 2016.
This manufacturing facility benefits from many key sustainability features, such as rainwater collection and the planting of more than 1,200 indigenous trees to help preserve and improve the natural habitat around the factory. The site’s electricity is largely generated by hydro power from the nearby river, Paraíba do Sul.
This focus on sustainability contributed to the facility being the first vehicle assembly plant in Brazil to achieve an LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold accreditation.

The state-of-the-art, 74 acre manufacturing facility in Nitra opened in 2018 and stands at the forefront of aluminium manufacturing and engineering expertise in Slovakia.
Nitra uses 100% renewable electricity, sourced exclusively from sustainable sources, and sends zero waste to landfill. Instead, staff recycle or repurpose material to close the loop in the supply chain.
The Land Rover Discovery and new Land Rover Defender are built at the Nitra facility.

Covering 112 acres, Castle Bromwich has been home to the production of Jaguar saloon cars since 1977.
The site, under redevelopment, when complete will be a powerhouse of electrification in the Midlands. This facility will be the first plant in the UK to manufacture premium electric vehicles.
The first new electric car to be produced at Castle Bromwich will be Jaguar’s flagship luxury saloon, the XJ.

The first Land Rover rolled off the production line in 1948 in Solihull, affording it a special place in the company’s history.
Today, over 70 years on, the facility is one of Jaguar Land Rover's largest manufacturing facilities, covering 300 acres.
Solihull, a flagship plant is home of the Range Rover, manufacturing a range of hybrid and full electric vehicles.
This site is home to our solar wall, which has helped save hundreds of thousands of Kilowatts of power and mitigated tonnes of CO2 since its installation.
When the data centre at Solihull was awarded a BREEAM (the world’s leading sustainability assessment) ‘Excellent’ rating in 2012, it was recorded as the second highest rated and second most sustainable centre of its type in the world.

The Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) is home to the production of the Ingenium family of advanced, ultra-efficient petrol and diesel engines.
Our Electronic Drive Units are produced at the 50 acre facility, powering the next generation of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
The facility boasts one of the largest single solar rooftop installations in the UK and is one of the largest centres of its kind to achieve a BREEAM (the world’s leading sustainability assessment) rating of ‘Excellent’.

Special Vehicle Development, Fen End

Fen End is a former RAF base that was converted into an engineering and development base for Special Vehicles.
The 200 acre site has a test track and off-road facilities, as well as a visitor centre for events and driving experiences. During the development of Fen End, Jaguar Land Rover planted 40,000 trees on the site.
In 2019, the photovoltaic installation at Fen End produced over 250,000 kWh of energy. This is enough to ensure that the Fen End site is powered entirely by solar energy, as often as possible.
